Setting Up a Connection to a Car Rental Company

Repair status updates can be communicated with Enterprise Rent-A-Car® (ERAC) via their Enterprise ARMS® interface, and to Hertz®.

As a pre-requisite, this feature requires that the insurance company have:

  1. an agreement to share data with the rental car company.
  2. an insurance company profile must also exist in CCC ONE.

ERAC/Hertz interfaces are enabled in the repairer profile “Rental” settings under Repair Management. They are enabled by insurance company. It is not required to add the rental company to the workfile in order for the interface to work. The workfile needs an insurance company, vehicle owner, and primary phone number. The system automatically sends data to either ERAC or Hertz based on the configuration in the repairer profile “Rental” settings.

To set up a connection to a car rental company

  1. Select Configure Profiles from the menu bar.
  2. Select your repair facility profile, and then select Edit from the mini-toolbar.
  3. Click on the Rental link under Repair Management.
  4. Select the Enterprise Rent-A-Car and/or Hertz option. The Terms of Use screen opens.
  5. Click on I Accept. The Terms of Use screen closes.
  6. Select Edit from the toolbar. The Rental screen opens.
  7. Select the rental car company option for one or more insurance companies.
  8. Click OK, and then click Save or Save and Close.
